Taken care of versus cared for

Are there differences between being taken care of and being cared for? It feels like there are. One is an exercise of the mind, cool, calculating, cold at times. An exercise in risk management. The other is an engagement of the spirit and heart, warm, loving, emotional, compassionate. An experience of devotion.

Which is effective, preferable? Notice I don't ask which is right, better? Wonder why?

As usual in my 2ndHL posts I ask more questions than I answer. Answers to important questions that come from outside you may only be useful for fact-based questions. Not for gaining insight or wisdom.

What is wisdom? There I go again...
